Reiki has helped thousands of people to experience these changes. Reiki is a technique that can work for anyone and is very easy to learn. Reiki is a Japanese method of working with energy which can benefit you and others. It was developed in the 1900s by Mikao Usui, who taught Reiki as a system that promoted self healing, self development, spiritual development and healing for others.
Reiki is a subtle energy that surrounds us, moves through us and can be learnt and directed so it can be channelled to heal ourselves and others. In China this energy is known as Chi and in India it is referred to as Prana. In Japan they call this energy Ki which partly explains the name Rei ki.
Reiki can be used to help with the symptoms of physical and emotional illnesses. It works very well alongside all medical treatments and complementary therapies.
Treatments are on an appointment basis and last 1 hour. They are conducted fully clothed with the eyes closed, laying on a couch listening to soft music. I place my hands on the body in different positions and you may experience the sensations of heat, cold, energy running through the body or tingling but most people feel a deep sense of relaxation and sometimes fall asleep.
All medical treatments should be continued unless your GP or other appropriate medical professional suggests otherwise.

I teach Reiki at First and Second Degree level.
Reiki First Degree lasts approximately 16 hours but is taught using a multi media pack which you go through at your leisure together with a one day course in London, where you will be guided by me through practical energy exercises. The course is fun, enjoyable and gives you lots of opportunities to share your experiences.
The program for the live one day course includes:
- 3 Reiju empowerments (these are special connection rituals which enable the Reiki to flow through you)
- Learn what Reiki is and where it comes from (background and history)
- Learn what Reiki’s original founder taught and how we can follow the original system and how to apply it in the modern world
- The Reiki ‘precepts’, mindfulness and the use of empowerments
- Learn how to work with the energy and how to benefit from daily energy exercises eg Hatsureiho
- How to treat yourself (both the Japanese and Western methods) and give treatments to other people.
The cost of the course is £140, £50 is payable on booking as a deposit (non-refundable) and £90 is paid on the day of the course. Once the deposit is received the pre-course material is sent to you so you can start the course straight away.
The benefit of taking a Reiki Second Degree course is that Reiki First Degree provides a solid foundation in techniques that help balance your energy system, promote self healing and self development. Reiki Second Degree teaches new tools that deepen your experience of balancing your energy system, furthering your self healing and self development. The course is fun, enjoyable and gives you lots of opportunities to share your experiences.
The Reiki Second Degree course follows a similar format to the Reiki First Degree course and lasts approximately 12-13 hours. It is taught using a multi-media pack which you go through at your leisure together with a one day course in London, where you will be guided by me through more advanced practical energy exercises.
The program for the live one day course includes the following:
- Receive 3 Reiju empowerments
- Learn what Reiki’s original founder taught and how we can follow the original system
- How to benefit from the earth ki and heavenly ki meditations together with how to use them in treating others
- The significance of developing oneness and how to use it with distant healing
- Learn the Reiki symbols and how they can be used to treat others
- How to open yourself to intuitive healing
The cost of the course is £170, £70 is payable on booking as a deposit (non-refundable) and £100 is paid on the day of the course. Once the deposit is received the pre-course material is sent to you so you can start the course straight away.
The multi media study pack consists of a professionally printed manual Shoden for Reiki First Degree and Okuden for Reiki Second Degree and a specifically produced audio CD that contains extensive commentary tracks. This is the most effective way of learning as it gives you the time to go through the course material, allow it to sink in, practise some of the mediations/exercises and identify any questions. You arrive on the day of the course already knowing a lot about Reiki.
